Supercar Kidz II took place @ RAF Leuchars on Sunday September 21st. Once again we had children & parents from Ward 29,Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. These children are suffering from Leukaemia in varying forms and the event gives them a special day out. A variety of cars was present this year 18 vs last year's 10 and included:- 9 x Porsches; 4 x Ferrari's; 3 x TVR's; 1 x Aston Martin; and 1 x Morgan.
We were particularly fortunate this year as we had the use of the Northern Taxiway @ RAF Leuchars to blast the various vehicles up and down. Speeds of up tp130mph were recorded all under strict supervision of RAF Marshalls. There was also an ambulance in attendance.
The weather was kind at us and a great day was had by all. Hopefully we can use the runway next year !
