Stephen Henderson got on his bike to raise £1200 for the Tayside Institute for Cardio-vascular Research (TICR).
Stephen took part in the Etape Caledonia cycle race around rural Perthshire in May, taking in the 81-mile course in just over five hours.
He said, “My wife Donia had a heart scare and after she had been looked after so well in Ninewells Hospital I wanted to do something to support the work they are doing there.”
Jill Belch, head of the TICR, said, "This is a wonderful gesture and all of us in the institute are very grateful to Stephen."
